Jon’s role with The Gospel Music Association’s Hall of Fame and Museum

Jon Robberson is passionate about the history of Christian and Gospel music. Beyond his former role as a promoter, Jon is a contributing writer for the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame and an advocate, donor, and supporter of the Museum of Christian & Gospel Music in downtown Nashville.

The Hall of Fame is physically located inside the museum, and a newly redesigned website will soon be online. Jon has donated items from his personal collection to the museum and serves on its Advisory Committee. Although Celebration Concerts promoted concerts primarily in the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) segment of the Gospel music community, several of the Hall of Fame biographies he wrote were for Southern Gospel inductees, including The Blackwood Brothers, The Speer Family, and The LeFevres. Jon also wrote the biographies for The Imperials and Black Gospel pioneers Mahalia Jackson and Thomas A. Dorsey.
